Entire Refurbishment of a first floor flat, in a detached Victorian house in Hampstead, London, set within a conservation area, undertaken to create a bespoke contemporary minimalist family home for furniture designers.
Successive adaptations to the property had obscured the proportions of the original rooms and key openings were removed, creating very poor quality and isolated spaces, deserted of daylight and connections. The project sought to restore the noble proportions and decorative qualities of the original rooms, connect the front and the back of the property, whilst opening up rooms from the main core, introducing new services, natural materials and a series of bespoke new architectural features.
